DESCRIPTION:
This safari takes you to a vacation in Lake Nakuru and Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley for both bird and big game watching. You have a chance to see four (4) of the Africa's Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino) among other big game.
 
Lake Nakuru National Park is a world class bird watching safari destination and fondly referred to as the bird watchers paradise The park has more than 25 black rhinoceros plus around 70 white rhinos. There are also a number of Rothschild's giraffe, Waterbuck, lion, cheetah and leopard. The park also has large sized pythons.

As well as flamingos, Lake Nakuru National Park has a myriad other bird species that inhabit the lake and the area surrounding it, such as African fish eagle, goliath heron, hammerkop, pied kingfisher and Verreaux’s eagle.
 
Lake Naivasha is freshwater lake with a picturesque view of Mount Longonot, hippos, over 400 species of birds including pelicans, African fish eagles, African darter, cormorants and the lesser flamingos and a sizeable population of hippos.

Day 1: Nairobi - Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park
0800 Hours: Met upon arrival or picked from your Nairobi city hotel and your 2 days safari begins with a drive north to Lake Nakuru National park, enter the park through Lanet gate and proceed with game viewing en-route to Sarova Lion Hill for lunch. Afternoon game drive.
 
Lake Nakuru is known as a Ramsar bird site specifically founded for the protection of the black and white rhino. It is also a home for more than 450 species of birds including the lesser and greater flamingos, pelicans, African fish eagles and many others. Dinner and overnight Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru - Drive to Lake Naivasha

0600 Hours: Early morning safari game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park followed by breakfast. Thereafter drive to Lake Naivasha Country Club for lunch.
 
Optional afternoon boat ride on Lake Naivasha at an extra cost – freshwater lake with a picturesque view of Mount Longonot, hippos, over 400 species of birds on the island including pelicans, African fish eagles, African darter, cormorants and the lesser flamingos which are migratory).
 
Alternative visit crescent Island via Boat ride for a nature walk where you reach Wildebeest, Zebra and Giraffes from close range.

Day 2: Lake Naivasha - Hells Gate National Park - Drive to Nairobi
Enjoy a delicious breakfast you have an option of driving back to Nairobi or visiting Hells Gate National Park. We drive the short distance to the entrance of Hell’s Gate National Park. Soon after you enter the park the impressive landscape unfolds before you, and you are transported to a dramatic, semi-arid world, with sheer rugged cliffs, open plains and deep concealed gorges.
 
There are many activities you can do within Hell’s Gate including, walking, cycling, rock climbing, bird watching and trekking through the gorge amongst the geysers – the choice is yours. Picnic lunch in the park. Late afternoon we depart by road driving through the Great Rift Valley to Nairobi.
