DESCRIPTION:
Amboseli National Park is situated on the foot hills of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is famous for Up-close and personal encounters with huge elephant herds, flanked by the impressive Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including lions, cheetah, wildebeest, elephants, giraffes and baboons. Optional visit to a Masai village is available as this is the home of the Maasai people. Here you learn about their customs and the place of the Masai in today’s Africa. The residents live in their Manyatta, or village, much as they have for centuries and a visit gives you the opportunity to see the interior of these mud-hut homes, spotless and unadorned, contrasted with the Maasai themselves, bedecked with brilliantly colored beads and cloths. Amboseli National Park is approximately a 4 hour drive from Nairobi and about 270 kilometers.

Day 1: Nairobi - Drive to Lake Elementaita by Road
An early pick up from Nairobi and drive through the stunning scenery of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley to explore Lake Nakuru National Park, which is famous for the spectacular pink flamingos that gather on its salt encrusted shores as well as for other bird species including African fish eagles and pelicans.
The woodland and grassland surrounding the soda lake are home to an abundance of animals. Lunch in the park. Continue to Lake Elementaita for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Elementaita - Drive to the Masai Mara Game Reserve
After an early breakfast we continue our safari by heading to the world-famous Masai Mara, arriving for lunch. Afternoon at leisure at the lodge.
